Coupled Epoxy Resin for Pultrusion –
Low viscosity, toughened, extended pot life epoxy resin with excellent physical properties, an internal mold release and proprietary air release system, and Rhino’s “-18” couplers to enhance fast wetting of Carbon, Aramid and E-Glass reinforcement materials. Rhino 1392-R-18 has superior bonding to steel reinforcements, particularly “Hardwire”. The proprietary coupling technology of 1392-R-18 contributes significant long term resistance to fatigue and other dramatically enhances critical physical properties of cured laminates such as increased compression, peel strength, and shear strength. 100% solids, no VOCs and DOT/IATA non-regulated.
Suggested Uses
Pultrusion systems, other epoxy/fiberglass applications where extended pot life, additional toughness, crack resistance and high impact strength are desired. Rhino 1391-R-18 has superior wet-out with EGlass, Carbon and Aramid reinforcements, and superior bonding with proprietary steel reinforcements such as “Hardwire”.

Mixing
Recommend Rhino 1392-R-18 be used at slightly elevated temperature 75° – 95°F (product use temperature). Storage below 45°F is not recommended due to potential crystallization of the product (requiring re-heating to restore original viscosity). All standard epoxy curing agents are compatible with Rhino 1392-R-18 proportion resin and hardener in accordance with the selected hardener system’s recommended mix ratio. Mix resin and hardener very thoroughly, being certain to scrape the bottom and sides of the mixing container. Mix no more material than may be applied before the expiration of the pot life.
